Highlight of trip: riding on sledges pulled by husky dogs
It was like a roller coaster. It was amazing!
The temperature outside was -20°C, we were in a blizzard, and we had to spend the night in a tent! Snow and ice are only fun when you can return to a warm home. Our team wouldn’t have survived the extreme conditions if we didn’t learn survival techniques before we went and worn special clothing to protect us from frostbite.
Our best experience was travelling on sledges pulled by teams of huskies when we went to visit a glacier. Our job was to measure the changes caused by global warming and our work will help to protect polar bears.
