The Program for the Development of subway (underground) and other kinds of high-speed out-of-street transport in Saint Petersburg up to 2015 (the Resolution of the Government of Saint Petersburg of 25.04.2002, №20).
In accordance with the Program construction of new subway stations and lines is under way in Saint Petersburg, as well as design work at a new kind of high-speed municipal public transport – «Overhead express train».
The port is connected to the sea by the Sea Channel 27 nautical miles long. Navigation is possible all year round. Guaranteed depths provide for safe pilotage and convenient berthing of ships up to 260 m in length and drawing up to 11 m. The port has an extensive infrastructure:

storage area of more than 1 million sq m,
covered warehouses of 105,000 sq m,
outdoor storage areas of 105,000 sq m,
a pool of up-to-date cargo handling equipment,
skilled workforce,
5 stevedoring companies operate in the port, leasing property from OAO «The Sea Port of Saint Petersburg» and the Maritime Administration,
