Dormition of Mother of God and all the Saints. Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh (Bloom + 2003) has served at this Cathedral for 54 years. He respected greatly St. Seraphim and gave a good reference to the Holy Trinity St. Seraphim Diveevo Convent.
Archbishop Anthony of Kerch, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Sourozh visited this Convent in 2006 and conducted the Divine Liturgy. He is rewarded with Order of St. Seraphim for his tireless serving God and people.

There are a lot of Icons of St. Seraphim in London Cathedral. Also there is a Holy thing which is parishioners’ treasure. It is a piece of Father Seraphim’s shirt with his blood. Once he was attacked in the forest by robbers and was beaten till he bled. After that attack he walked with a staff.

Faithful kiss this priceless thing asking in their prayers St. Seraphim to help them in their sorrows and troubles. And indeed, they get consolation and answer to their needs: regulating the children’s life, leaving hard drinking, healing etc.

English Lady, nun Seraphima (+2008). She was born in 1918 into a Catholic family. Once she came across a book “St. Seraphim of Sarov” written in French by Valentina Zander. She was carried away by it. She was delighted with spiritual feats of Father Seraphim and His love to God. Her thoughts turned to the Saviour of the world – Lord Jesus Christ. With the authoresses’ permission mother Seraphima translated some more books about St. Seraphim. Later she was Christened and not long after she took the veil with the name of Seraphima. She used to say that her sky protector St. Seraphim was a great joy in her life.

She lived as a hermit in a hut next to a small monastery dedicated to St. Seraphim in Walsingham, s called England’s Nazareth. Printing was her obedience since she started the monastic life in 1945. She took an active part in publishing a lot of books and articles about St. Seraphim such as: “St. Seraphim of Sarov”; “Pilgrimage to Diveyevo in 1913”; “A month with St. Seraphim”; “Lord is my life and my salvation”.

In 2006 at the age of 88 she visited the Holy Trinity St. Seraphim Diveyevo Convent. It was her only visit to Russia. Her dream to visit the elected place of the Mother of God came true.
Nun Seraphima used to tell: “My visit to Diveyevo was a lard mark in my life. It was not only the Convent: that brief glimpse of Russia has given me a greater love for and understanding of the Russian people. I wish I had learned to speak Russian when I was younger, I am too old now.”

Shortly before her passing away to God, nun Seraphima was retired from active work in London Cathedral in order to be free for deeper prayer in her solitary cell.
