If you look at the map of Altai Region you’ll find Zavyalovo District in the north-west of its territory. Our village is situated there. Zavyalovo District borders on six districts: you can see Bayevo and Tumentsevo Districts in the North, Mamontovo District lies on the East , Romanovo and Rodino Districts are situated in the South and Blagoveshchenka District is in the West.
Glubokoye is in the north-western part of our district.
Our village has an area nearly 1325 hecktares.

Winter lasts from four to five months with heavy snowfalls and frosty weather. The coldest winter month is January (-18,2-19), the absolute minimum is from -47 till -51. Summer is hot, windy and dry. The hottest summer month is July(+19,2 +19,4), the absolute maximum is +39 +40. The frostless period is about 111-118 days.

CLIMATE

There are groups of amazing lakes in Glubokoye. They are Modino, Gorkoye, Solyonoye, Sladkoye, Glubokoye and Kurnevatoye lakes. Most of them have got salt water. Soils are chernozem.

NATURAL CONDITIONS

Lake Solyonoye

It is a land of attractive landscapes with blue lakes, boundless fields, romantic groves, wide meadows. Large areas are rich in aromatic flowers and grass.

Our lakes are bluer than the bluest sky, coloured fields are brighter than Turkish carpets, and beautiful green meadows look like emerald seas. The air is pure and full of scent of grass and flowers.
Nothing can be compared with the beauty and magnificence of our lakes. Cool fresh wind blows down from them. Silver fish splash in clean water.

We can see foxes, elks, Siberian roes, hares, squirrels, beavers, musk-rats and a lot of small rodents, grey geese, cranes, some kinds of herons and ducks.

A large number of fishes can be found in our lakes. The main kinds are crucians, perches, carps, gudgeons, pikes..

The animal kingdom of our place is really very rich.

Our village was founded in 1802 at the bank of this lake.
The first inhabitants were the Zakovryashins, the Malyshevs, the Kulikovs, the Nalimovs. They ran away from their native places to escape the millitary service and to save their religion. They were the refugees from the Chala and the Don. That’s why they were called “chaldony”.
The place where they settled was the impenetrable taiga. There were many bogs, lakes, swamps and saline soils. But people lived here and got food by hunting, fishing, gathering berries and mushrooms. As there was a little arable land at that time the local inhabitans hardly tilled and sowed because it was very difficult to root out the forests.

The commander called on the population to organize the partisan movement and to fight against Kolchak whose detachment was located in the village of Lenki.Sukhov made an ambush near Krivoye bog and met his enemies there. His detachment occypied Lenki. But soon they were informed that the company of strong armed White Guards was coming. That’s why Pyotr Sukhov decided to retreat. At the next day the company of the White Guards came into the village but by that time Sukhov hadn’t been there. Kulak Malyshev betrayed Sukhov and showed his way to White Guards.
1918 – the partisan movement started. Some people living in Glubokoye rose up and formed partisan group.
October, 1919 – the Western Siberian Regional Executive Committee was established in the village of Glubokoye. It headed the struggle against Kolchak.

Together with all Soviet people men from our village took an active part in the war. They fought for their Motherland and showed the greatest heroism on the battlefields.
During the Great Patriotic War 1127 people from Glubokoye went to the front . More than 400 soldiers and officers lost their lives defending their country, freedom and independence.
The Monument to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War was erected on the territory of our village in 1970. It was built in their honour. The names of the killed defenders are carved on the granite slabs of the monument.

Every year on May 9, Victory Day, we recall those difficult years when Soviet people fought for the victory of our Homeland over fascism, heroically struggled, gave their lives defending our country.
We must always remember them.

People lay flowers to those who didn’t come back from the war.

from Novosibirsk Millitary School he went to the front to fight against the fascists during World War II.
His millitary ranks were: Junior Lieutenant, Lieutenant, Captain, Guards Major.
His front roads began in the 140th Siberian Novgorod- Seversk’s Infantry Division.

Georgi Fedoseyevich Andreyev

the Soviet Union. Major Andreyev was in command of the shooting battalion of the 96th Chita regiment. His devision fought on the First Ukrainian front. The warrior was wounded twice. G.F. Andreyev was awarded two Orders of the Red Banner.

The Andreyevs

Andreyev’s battalion took part in the battles for the villages of Kharlovo and Gromic. They helped their regiment to ensure the forced crossing over the river Oder.
In the battle for the village of Vareya the commander called off his battalion secretly and struck at the anemy’s flank. Georgi Fedoseyevich and his brave soldiers attacked the staff of the German regiment and destroyed it.
For displayed courage and heroism, for capable guidance of the battalion G.F. Andreyev was awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously).
On the 2nd of September in 1945 G.F. Andreyev gave his life for his Motherland in the struggle against enemies.
His burial-place is situated in the town of Belekhovo, the Ukraine.

Georgi Fedoseyevich Andreyev

village of Glubokoye in 1922 in the family of collective farmers. He entered the school at the age of 8. In 1937 Gregory finished the seven-year local school. Then his parents sent him to Zavyalovo to get secondary education.
When he received the school-leaving certificate the young man began to work as a teacher of Russian language and Literature at the village school of Krasnodubrovka.
When he was a school-boy he was fond of Literature. He liked reading books of famous Russian writers and poets. His hobby was poetry. Grigory didn’t only admire poems of Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov but he also wrote his own short verses about native village, friends, amazing nature, animals and love.
Poetry gave him real joy, delight, great satisfaction and helped him to choose his future profession. Literature meant much in his life. It helped him to form his character and to understand life better. That’s why he became a Literature teacher.
1941. The Great Patriotic War began. The fascist’s invaders attacked our Motherland. Grigory Vasilyevich went to defend his country from the first days. He was a selfless and brave warrior.

continued writing his poems which were dedicated to his front friends, to their courage and heroism.
1945. World War was ended. Grigory Vasilyevich returned home and went on with his work at the village school of Glubokoye.In the early of 80s the teacher and the poet began to publish his poems in different newspapers and magazines. The adults and the children are amazed at his poetry. His poems touch the hearts and the souls of the readers deeply.
Charikov G.V. is the author of 15 collected poems. They are “The Land is Mine”, “The Living Spring”, “The Love Music”, “The Sun”, “Alyonka and the Kitten”,” The Skylark” and many others.

There is a great agricultural enterprise on its territory. Two settlements Soboli and Kuliki are parts of the Public Limited Company
“ Frunzenski”.
The leader of this large-scale farm is Shishov Vladimir Maximovich.
The main branches are field-crop cultivation and livestock farming.
The farmers grow different kinds of crops: grain crops, sunflowers, fodder cropes.
A lot of modern combine harversters go out in the fields every year.

the village of Glubokoye was built in 1911.The school house was small and it was made of wood. It had only 2 classrooms. The school was named after L.N.Tolstoy.
The priest’s son Antoni Ivanovich Rakitin was the first village teacher. He taught children to write, to read, to count and to do sums. In the village at that time there were a few people who could read.670 children of school age lived in Glubokoye but only 37 of them studied at school.
Then there was an increase in the number of schoolchildren at school that’s why the school building was moved into another place.

village. It was in 1965. The pupils were very glad to have large and light classrooms for studing Maths, Russian, Physics, History, Geography, Biology and other school subjects. Pupils had good and skilful teachers who taught them not only to get knowledge but also to love their Motherland, to be honest and hardworking.
The school leavers never forget their favourite teachers: Dergunova Anna Yakovlevna, Poleshkina Lidiya Kuzminichna, Korchagina Nina Dmitriyevna, Kudashov Kuzma Prokhorovich, Karyukina Valentina Georgiyevna, Brotsman Valentina Ivanovna, Sakun Leonid Grigoryevich.
The modern school was built in 1982. It is not very large but comfortable and nice. Our school is not the best, but we like it.

The museum tells us the story of the village of Glubokoye and its people. It demonstrates what our village was like many years ago. Our school museum has such collections as: the history of our school, life of our grandparents, my native place, our patriots. Almost every kind of object that illustrates our village in the past and present is represented: photographs, letters,documents,books, coins, Russian national costume.

Glubokoye has one branch of the post office. It links people living in different cities and countries. Here you can buy envelopes, stamps, post cards or send or get telegrams or parcels. You can write a letter there and post it or you can write it at home and then throw it into the postbox.

There is a bakery in Glubokoye. Every day five wonderful women bake more than 400 loaves of aromatic and tasty bread.

More than 20 children study in a music-school. Shnel S.N. and Shnel A.E. teach their pupils to play different musical instruments.

Small children like visiting their favourite kindergarten. It is a wonderful place where they can play, discover new and useful things, take part in holidays, taste delicious dishes, spend a good time. Children love their teachers Shnel A.V., Maleykova O.V., Sergeyeva T.S., Bauer E.I.,Vlasova S.E. and others.

The Village club is a cultural centre of Glubokoye. Country people come here to have a rest.
