century, also consistently associated with good old England, like oatmeal or London fog. A brilliant London-based detective, Holmes is famous for his prowess at using logic and astute observation to solve cases. He is perhaps the most famous fictional detective, and indeed one of the best known and most universally recognizable literary characters.
Sherlock Holmes
is a literary character created by Arthur Conan Doyle.
His works have been devoted to the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the famous London private detective, are considered classics of the detective genre.

221B Baker Street is the
London address of the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes created by author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Baker Street in Holmes' time was a high-class residential district, and Holmes' apartment was probably part of a Georgian terrace.
