Слайд 21The Eternal Flame

Many men thought that war would be fun,
Not

knowing they would never again see the sun,
Waiting for an adventure that never came,
Finding on the battlefield that they were all the same.

They left waving to their wives and friends,
Not knowing they would never again see their hands,
Not knowing they would lie dead on the Turkish sands,
War had decided to kill them in foreign lands.

And back home very little came,
Others never to see the Eternal Flame,
Brave were the soldiers to leave,
For many died like water out of a sieve.

The Eternal Flame,
Our lives will never be the same.
