French fashion of the certain period (from 1789 to 1815), as well as to demonstrate its immediate connection with French culture and display the complex relations between the two.

My main task as a translator is not only to transfer
a message from one source to the other but also to assess the functions of the texts (the original and the translation) and the level of functional equivalence between the two.
