Today Thanksgiving is a family holiday.
It is a customary for all members of the family to gather at the home of their parents.
The family eats a large traditional dinner.
Usually with turkey, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.

Nowadays it’s a customary to arrange a parade on the Thanksgiving Day.
It’s a very splendid and magnificent attraction.
The Gimbel Brothers started the parade tradition with a parade of toys in Philadelphia in 1920.

It was Sara Josepha Hale, a magazine editor, whose efforts led to recognition of this holiday.
