for IRINA Glukhova I spent my winter break sleeping and I turned 12 during winter break. A couple weeks before winter break it rained, then the water turned into ice. We missed school of 2 days! I love looking out of the window in winter.

I see a lot of trees, which are covered with white snow. Behind the trees there is a playground for our PE and skiing.
Everything is grey and gloomy now, but it seems so pure white, bright and shiny. Snowflakes are shining in the sun in the daytime. The sun has hidden behind the clouds, as it is tired. It is boring. But I know soon the snowstorm will pick up the snow from the ground and makes it dance the waltz. Snowflakes will fall from the sky, join the dance and lie on the ground calmly. In this case buzz and howl is music of snowstorm.
That's what I can see looking out of the window!

My name is Catherine Channell and I am the International Collaboration Director at ePals.  Thank you for your interest in the US China Collaboration Program (IECLS).  I will be sending more information on the US China collaboration program around 01FEB but need a little information first.  For those of you from international (non-US) schools – the curriculum is very US centered but if you are willing, I am happy to work with you on this project.  This project is designed for elementary and middle school students (although high school is acceptable).
 
  Session 1 is set to begin on 01MAR/25APR

8 Week Topics may include:  Cultural Artifacts, Places of Historical Significance, Cuisine, Visual Arts, Hobbies/Activities, Music/Dance, Sports and Inventions.
 
You will share the exploratory curriculum learning about each other. Remember that the partner class is following the same curriculum at the same time. You will to create a dialogue while sharing cultures and expand international collaboration and vision. Students will gain practical experience using email, Power Points (PPTs), video, and Skype through exploratory learning.
