events in the city have traditionally been considered precursors of Newspapers. They were copied by hand. The scrolls were called "Daily business of the Roman people" and posted on the squares and delivered to politicians, or just the noble citizens. Roman newspaper is a wooden plank on which the recorded chronicle of events was*. News reports had tended to have an informal character, until Julius Caesar ordered to distribute records of the Senate, reports from military commanders and the message from rulers of neighboring countries.
The world's first printed newspaper was «The Capital Journal», which started out in China in the VIII century. It placed orders of the emperor and reports about major events. Papers printed with the boards on which characters were cut, covered with ink and prints made**. This technology was extremely uncomfortable, because board came into disrepair very quickly.

Nowadays each person can buy a newspaper or a magazine, which corresponds to his tastes, interests and preferences. The world has long believed that the British nation

is a nation which reads the newspapers the most. As the matter of fact, it is so. Reading newspapers even became a part of a famous stereotype.

The first British newspapers, which have enough copies for the literate population of the country, appeared in the early eighteenth century, and they were followed by newspapers such as "The Times" (1785), "Observer" (1791) and "Sunday Times" (1822). But most of these newspapers were newspapers focused on a relatively small, educated population of Great Britain that was concentrated mainly in London.

In order to satisfy all tastes Newspapers are divided into:  1.national, regional, local, corporate  2.business, general political, industrial, advertising, entertainment, mixed,
3.daily (morning or evening), weekly, monthly;  4.color, black and white and black and white with color inserts;  5.free and paid

1.Informative genre includes articles, reports, interviews. The most significant feature of this genre is examination of certain facts, and the presence of reason.

2.Analytical genres - correspondence, comments, articles, reviews, press review, a letter Review - have much broader time limits. They provide research and analysis of the facts, situations, generalizations and conclusions.

3.Artistic and journalistic genres - essay, pamphlet - combine conceptual and figurative meanings of expression, have a great emotional force.

Recently – about 3-5 years ago - the owners of many newspapers and magazines for the convenience of the readers began to create their electronic versions, the sites of these publications, where you can learn about all current events as from ordinary newspaper, just using the Internet.
