So, I will tell you about the monument to Evpaty Kolovrat.
Evpaty Kolovrat is a hero of Ryazan national legends of the XIII century, the period of the invasion of Baty-Khan and his Golden Hord.

the winter of 1237/38 he was in Chernigov where got news of burning Ryazan. With his "regiment" of 1700 people Evpaty made feats with Baty-Khan’s army.
Evpaty’s name was glorified in many legends and stories. He became a hero of Ryazan land, but known in all Russia.
The feat of Evpaty Kolovrat was depicted in films books, paintings.

the monument to Evpaty Kolovrat took place. It happened in the center of Ryazan, on the area near the Ryazan post office.

The monument was created by the Ryazan sculptor Oleg Sedov.
