[Θ-ð-Θ-ð] – при произнесении этих звуков язык распластан и не
напряжён, кончик языка находится между зубами. Струя воздуха проходит между языком и верхними зубами. Зубы обнажены. Звонкий [ð] значительно слабее глухого [Θ] и в конце слов частично оглушается. That thistle has got thousands of thorns
Сочетание букв th передаёт два звука [Θ] и [ð]. как [Θ] это сочетание читается в начале и в конце значимых слов (существительное, глагол, наречие, числительное), как [ð] – в начале служебных слов
и между гласными в середине значимых слов.
