St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
In the 5th century he brought Christianity to Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day is the 17th of March.

In Ireland and Northern Ireland this is a national holiday with parades held all over the country.

USA, Canada, Britain and continental Europe to join in the celebration. Тhe biggest parade takes place in Dublin. People wear green ribbons and shamrocks.

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated in some other countries as well. In 1992 St. Patrick’s Day was first celebrated in Moscow. Now it’s a regular celebration there with the help of many Russian and Irish companies.
