than music or video — it definitely comes first. But I'm not just a football fan; I'm a player as well. I practice my skills ev­ery day in the garden or down in the fields. I train hard twice a week and on Sundays. I have been playing (играю) for nine years now, and I'd like to become a professional. Football is great and exciting. Recently I've won the Player of the Year award. I've also been on TV and on the Chelsea football program.
2nd (a teenage surf instructor): Surfing is such a great sport. I don't need much to be happy. The ocean, waves, sunny weather and my surf­board make me happy. I enjoy catching and riding a wave. Sometimes dolphins ride the waves with me and my friends. We feel safe when they're around. But every time I go into the wa­ter I'm so glad to be out. I am happy to be alive. Surfing makes me appreciate (ценить) my life.
3d ( a hockey fan): I'm from Quebec, home of the Montreal Canadians, the most successful professional hockey team. That's why I'm fond of hockey. I've loved hockey since I was three years old.
Though I'm not good at playing I know every­thing about hockey, teams and players. I enjoy watching the game. I'm sure that speed and changes on ice have made hockey the most pop­ular game in the world. I hope to become a referee when I'm an adult.
4th ( a figure skater): I love figure skat­ing more than anything. It was my elder sister who brought me to the skating rink. Now I skate four times a week and I never get bored of skat­ing. Ice, music, dance — it's like a fairy tale. I've been very lucky — I've had a wonderful coach. I'd like to become a coach too. I'm from a small town, so I travel to Moscow and back each week — but I love skating, so it's worth it!

An extreme sport is a popular term for certain activities which have a high level of danger. These activities often involve speed, height, a high level of physical training. We can call many kinds of sports extreme ones. Extreme sports are rarely sanctioned by schools.
Usually athletes don’t have a coach or may hire him later. People in extreme sports complete not only against each other, but also against weather and difficulties and conditions of exact kind of extreme sport.
There are many extreme sports that take place in air, land, and water. For example there are some of them: ski jumping, sky diving ,sky surfing, sky flying, indoor climbing, BMX (bicycle motocross), mountain biking, mountain boarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, powerboat racing, surfing, whitewater kayaking, windsurfing. All these sports need to have special equipment and glasses.
For surfing we need a surfboard and swimming kits. For snowboarding we need a snowboard and special boots to fix them on the board and a suit and also sunglasses that help to look at the snow and a helmet. For BMX sport you need a special not high bike with small wheels. Sportsmen can dress fashionably, usually in shorts and a T-shirt, trainers, if they want they wear a cap.
We can be sure that many new extreme sports will appear soon. Every year more and more people are interested in extreme sports and take active part in them. I’m sure that soon extreme sports will be on a high level
