The vast territory of Russia lies in the Eastern part of Europe and in the northern part of Asia. The northern and eastern coasts of Russia are washed by the White Sea, the Barents Sea and the Okhotsk Sea.

million people. People of different nationalities live on the territory of Russia. More than eleven million Russian citizens live in the capital Moscow. Russian is the state language. However, there are a lot of people speaking various dialects.

a modern cosmopolitan city with plenty of historical and architectural sights.  It has an interesting history and plays a great role in economics and politics of the world.
Saint Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia after Moscow. It is known as Russia’s Northern Capital. Saint Petersburg is a beautiful Russian city with rich history.

and summer is usually hot and dry. Much of the European plain is exposed to mild weather. In northern regions the weather is always cold and snowy. There are places where temperature in January falls far below 50 degrees.

and green. Novomoskovsk is situated in the central part of Russia in Tula region. The population of Novomoskovsk is about 130 thousand people. There are many parks and playgrounds, monuments to famous people, art galleries, cinemas and museums. My hometown is famous for children's railway, the source of the river Don.

happy to be living in the biggest country in the world, which boasts wonderful nature and kind-hearted people. Russia is the great country and I am proud to be Russian.
