FIRST ARMY

1942 in Rtishchevo, Saratov region.

The first fight of this army was near Stalingrad. This army was the part of the South-West Front.

The battle near Stalingrad had a great role in the Word War ll.

From 1943 to 1944 the first army fought on the territory of Ukraine passing it from the eastern to the western borders.

The Czechoslovak battalion took part in defending Ukraine together with the first army.

Ukraine front. Here they had heavy fights in the Carpathians.
After the defeat of the fascists troops the first army entered the territory of Czechoslovakia.
The battle in Prague was ended by the victory of the Soviet troops. Fascists invaders left Czechoslovakia.
Here the fist army had the final victory.
