The USA is

one of the English-speaking countries which occupies the middle part of North America and stretches from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. The United States of America borders on Canada in the North and on Mexico in the South. It also has a sea border with Russia.

The continental part of the USA varies greatly because it is the fourth largest country in the world (after Russia, Canada and China). The Cordilleras are located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Between the Rocky Mountains in the West and the Appalachian Mountains in the East are the Great Plains, the Central Lowland and the Mississippi Valley.

Find the appropriate answers

The American flag didn’t always have 50 stars and 13 stripes. In 1777, the original flag had 13 stars and 13 stripes for the 13 colonies. The 13 colonies became the first 13 states.
The American flag has different names. One of them is “The Stars and the Stripes”.
In 1959, Alaska and Hawaii joined the United States. So now there are 50 stars on the flag.
This name is for the colours of the American flag.
In 1794,the flag had 15 stars and 15 stripes. It was a great problem for its makers because the flag was getting too big. So in 1818, Congress decided to have only 13 stripes on the flag. They decided to add one star for each state. There are now fifty stars on the USA flag, one for each state. The thirteen stripes represent the original 13 states.
The red colour of the stripes means valour and courage, the white colour means purity and chastity, the blue colour means stableness and justice
