Слайд 5TURNING TO HISTORY, ACCORDING TO THE ARCHAEOLOGIST AND ANTHROPOLOGIST SERGEI IVANOVICH
RUDENKO, EVEN IN THE ALTAI PAZYRYK PERIOD (VI-IV CENTURIES BC.), THERE WERE THREE TYPES OF ACCOMMODATIONS: BARK TENTS, FELT TENTS, LOG WOODEN HOUSE. NOW THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF HOUSING IN TRADITIONAL CULTURE OF ALTAIAN PEOPLE :
Слайд 6Ail - carcass construction with a hemispherical roof of larch bark
(cheden ail, ail agash, chertpe ail, ail kazhaan). They are covered the top of the crust. At its center is an outdoor fireplace, the smoke of which went into the roof opening. Hexagonal villages are covered with birch bark, bark or boards, which have proliferated in the second half of the XIX century.
Слайд 7FELT YURTS (OR KIYIS KEREGE AIL) - WIDELY EXISTED IN THE
CENTRAL REGIONS OF THE ALTAI, NOW THEY ARE FOUND ONLY IN TELENGITS KOSH-AGACH.
Слайд 8Tapered ail - Chadyr (alanchik, sodon Ail,, soolti ail). Now a
man can see it rarely. According to the researchers, the cone-shaped yurt is the most ancient type of housing, widely spread among the peoples of Siberia. In the northern regions of Altai conical yurt was covered not only the bark of larch and birch bark too.
Слайд 9In the northern forest-steppe zone of Altay, with the conical yurts
they built huts too, their roofs were covered with bark or bark, and pressed down on top of poles.
Слайд 10Today the Altaians live in such houses only in warm months.
However, the construction of a constant attribute of the most households - whether wealthy or poor farm yard. “An Altaian without ail - not Altaian" - say local people.
Слайд 12A FEW WORDS ABOUT MY HEARTH...
I live in town of Gorno-Altaisk.
I live in the center of the town with my family. We have a large wooden house with a high roof , where the atmosphere is calm and comfortable. The house was built in a strict plan. There is a garden next to the house This summer we built an arbour in the garden. But most of all I like to spend time in my native village of Elo. From an early age, I like to visit my granny in the village. She has a quite big house with large windows, built by my grandfather. There are a garden and a yurt.
Слайд 13 Altaian tribes called a yurt - ail. Usually it is
sixcorner wooden without floor apartment. The device is very simple: a wooden folding frame plus felt to cover. Door is made of felt and traditionally oriented to the East, where the sun rises. In the center of the ail is the hearth, there is a special hole for smoke above it. That's all the architectural extravagances. The food in the village were prepared at once for all in a huge kazan; over the fire dried syrchiki (altaian national food , which is made from milk ) and meat. The fire was treated with great respect, from each of the meal the master of the house feeds the fire. The hearth is considered to be a sacred place, and to the right of it is the most honorable place for an altaian man. It is interesting that inside the ail, without any partitions, there is a division into men's and women's halves. Not as discrimination of women, but simply not to interfere with each other about their business.
Слайд 14We think the Altaians should preserve their culture in the construction
of ail. It is a property of our people. Indeed each altaian man should have an Altai ail. It is a part of rich history of our people. We should take care of our traditions then we’ll say «Home sweet Home» or «My home is my castle».
