They wanted to reach The God and had power like he had. But The God was so angry and punished the builders by confusing their languages, so that they weren’t able to understand each other. After that it was impossible to continue the construction. People started to move to different parts of the world. So it was the birth of languages as it is said in the ancient Bible legend about the Babylon pandemonium.

needed to communicate. As a result many groups of languages appeared. Nowadays 7.3 milliard people live on the Earth. All of them are different, with their own habits and traditions. And if you want to be a successful person and feel yourself comfortable you should learn foreign languages.  Today 7000 languages are used for communication all over the world. Some of them do extremely develop and become more and more useable. The most popular languages are Chinese, English, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Russian and Portuguese. But there are 2500 ones which are endangered, for example Latin or Clallam – the languages of Vancouver, one of the Canadian islands. The last native speaker died on the 4th of February in 2014.
