The monument to the perished miners
The monument to the miners died
in explosion of mine No. 8 in 1931. As a result of the tragedy 109 people were perished. They were all buried in a common grave, over which in the same year was erected a wooden monument. After 25 years in connection with the destruction of it citizens decided to replace the wooden monument to the granite one. In 1961 the idea was brought to life by the sculptor George Dmitrievich Lavrov .

Hero Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev stands in Sovetskaya street. Tourists, who have visited this monument notice its realistic sculpture. Location: Sovetskaya street.

The monument
opened in 1987 in Chernogorsk dedicated not only to the graduates of the legendary school, but also to all those who participated in the training of frontline pilots.

The initiator of creation became an honorary
citizen of the city of Chernogorsk V. Konkov. On the marble slabs of the memorial wall engraved surnаmes of 2694 citizens ,who fought in the Great Patriotic War. All of the city's population took an active part in the construction of the monument.

The museum of history of Chernogorsk
is not аn ordinary museum.Ordinary citizens often bring family values, pictures and documents. The Museum is supported by volunteers who care about the fate of their city.

In 2001 year, the remains
of Japanese prisoners of war after the exhumation were cremated, the urn with the ashes wаs shipped to Japan. On the plаce of graves Japanese government built the monument.

The citizens
erected it without requiring rewards, and guided only, as they said, “With their hearts". The Church hаs its beautiful architecture and is one of the sights of Chernogorsk.
