The first Omsk fortress was built on the left Bank of the river Om. The Om gave the name to our city, which means "quiet, tranquil", as our city was.

this fortress was 5 times more than the first. The II fortress had been situated on the right Bank of the Om,
now it is known as an exhibition square on the territory of the Omsk fortress, which is revived now beyond recognition.

park alleys away from the city bustle. The most favourite places of the citizens’ rest are Green island, Recreation Park of the 30 years of the Komsomol and Soviet Park.
Omsk strives to become a garden city again.
To the anniversary of the city on the left Bank of the Irtysh Park of the 300th anniversary of Omsk was opened.

monastery of the Cross. The first stone Church was built in 1901 on the money of M. Bubenikov, and later he donated all his lands to the monastery.
