till the ruins of Buddhist cloister. At the place of the ruins of 7 Houses of Buddhist cloisters Semipalatinsk fortress was founded.
1745 the fortress had been got into the staff of Sibirian guberniya
1782 the fortress gaining town status, became the centre of Semipalatinsk’s uezd.
At the end of fifty’s of the XIX century the town authorities undertook some measures for laying construction and improvement of Semipalatinsk.
At the middle of XIX century Semipalatinsk became center of themost trade caravan routes.
