and Santa Claus:
First of all Santa Claus
is the symbol of Christmas and New Year in Great Britain. Father Frost is the symbol of winter and New Year in Russia too, but he is a national symbol for Russia. Russians can't imagine New Year without this fairy person.
Слайд 5The second feature is that Santa Claus is often associated with
gifts for small children in the UK. He gives Christmas gifts, thus children love him very much.
In Russia children love Father Frost in the same way. Father Frost in Russia like Santa Claus in the UK gives children presents and makes them happy.
Слайд 6The third feature is that even for adults Santa Claus is
a sign of something good and kind in Great Britain.
The same thing happens in Russia. Many adults consider Father Frost to be a sign of happiness and joy.
Both Russians and Englishmen think that their New Year symbols will help them to overcome problems and difficulties in the next year.
