It is the United Kingdom's second-biggest-selling daily newspaper after The Sun. Uniquely for a British daily newspaper, it has a majority female readership with women making up 52-55% of its readers.

home life today. In London people have four TV channels: BBC I, BBC II, ITV=Independent Television (Channel III) and Channel IV. BBC and ITV start early in the morning.
