Archaeological finds say that people appeared on

the territory of the Korean Peninsula about 70 thousand years ago. Many stone implements belonging to the Paleolithic were found In the provinces of Hamgyong-bukto, South Pyonhan, Gyeonggi-do and Сhungcheongbuk-Do. People of those years lived in caves and built primitive houses.

Both men and women wore trousers which were hidden under long clothes. The difference between female and male clothes was more colorful patterns on the fabric in female clothes.
Korean nobility wore expensive silk clothes. Middle and lower classes were prohibited to wear clothes made of silk fabrics and expensive jewelry.

Koreans have flat faces with high square-shaped cheekbones. Typical Koreans have thin noses.
