he wrote for children. His two books Winnie-the-Pooh and House At the Pooh’s Corner grew out of tales that the author told Christopher Robin, his little son.
The classic stories of Pooh, a Bear of Little Brain, and his toy friends -the tiny Piglet, the gloomy Donkey, the wise Owl and others – have become popular among children all over the world. They enjoy reading about Christopher Robin and his imaginary world of adventures in which his toy animals live like real animals and talk like real people.

Donald Bisset is an English radio, television, and stage actor,
and a writer for children. His best-known books are Time
and Again Stories, Hallo Lucy, Talks with a Tiger, Yak and the Sea Shell and many, many others. Bisset once wrote: “All my books are modern fairy tales”. And they really are. Bisset’s characters, children and animals, find themselves in the gentle-hearted world of their imagination. This world is both real and fantastic. There are things which one can see in real life, but there are also things which are strange and magical. Donald Bisset illustrated his books himself.

R.L. Stevenson was a famous classic Scottish writer, poet and traveller
whose books Treasure Island and Kidnapped are among the
best-known adventure stories in English even today.
Stevenson was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He spent much
of his life travelling in search of health (the suffered from tuberculosis).
He began to publish in periodicals, and many of his short stories, essays, and travel pieces were collected in Familiar Studies of Men And Books and New Arabian Nights. His first adventure book Treasure Island brought him fame. This was followed The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde, Kidnapped and others which made R.L. Stevenson more famous. Stevenson published many travel books, the historic romance The Black Arrow, books of poetry including A Child’s Garden of Verses and Underwoods. His books are still very popular, and many have been filmed.
