Savitsky Art Gallery named after the painter and first director of the Penza Fine Arts School. It was founded in 1892. The gallery contains a collection of over 12 thousand works including paintings, engravings, and sculptures by Russian and West-European masters.

"Meyerhold gave roots to the theaters of the future”. Meyerhold was born in 1874 in Penza. He became a very famous actor and director in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and later, the director of the Moscow Theater that was later named after him following his death in 1940. To get a better idea of the influence Meyerhold had on theater and for Penza's rich theatrical history, you can visit the Museum of the Theater which used to be Meyerhold's parents house.

Kirov Street of a man holding a sword and a plow standing near his horse. This monument represents the first settler of Penza who is both a defender against the attacks of the Eastern armies and a farmer, the two roles Penza originally held in the history of Russia.

It looks like a small sprout emerging from the ground. Inside a nearby carved, stone wall, it is said to have a letter written in 1917 after the Russian Revolution. The letter is addressed to the citizens of Penza to be opened in the year 2017.
