Слайд 2Today we can get all this without leaving our home, using
the Internet.
In the era of information technology rapid access to information is essential for development. Text messages, that are transmitted by mobile phones, have introduced a wide use of written communication. The presence of a computer in the house of almost every American has become a key factor for the development of new technologies.
Innovation today
Слайд 3But to have a computer at home is not enough. We
want to use technology not only at home but also in any other place. So today people can use the wireless Internet in cafes, airports, universities and many other places. As the use of computers is growing in the world, the "brains" of the computer processors decrease in size.
Слайд 4What is innovation?
Innovation is a process aimed at the implementation of
results of completed research and development or other scientific and technological achievements into new or improved products sold in the market. The results of innovation are new products (services) or goods (services) with new qualities. The innovation process is a set of stages of creation, development, diffusion and use of innovations.
Слайд 5Introduction of IT technologies in the daily lives of Muscovites can
become one of the most obvious results of five years of work by a team of Sergey Sobyanin. Five years ago there was nothing like this – now there is! In May 2015, the Internet project of the government of Moscow received the Sabre award EMEA Active citizen award – the most prestigious international award in the field of public relations. Despite the fact that the project worked only one year. "Active citizen" was developed on behalf of the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin to hold an electronic vote among the residents of the city on the key issues of the capital. During the year a mobile app and website ag.mos.ru a record number of people – more than 1 million residents. Then the residents asked 580 questions, and over 250 solutions have already been implemented!
Technology in Moscow

Technology in the world
New technologies are being introduced not
only in Moscow ,but all over the world .So for example in Japan ,which is known as the "old" country in the world, the development of robotic assistants helps in the urban economy. According to estimates of the Japanese Association of robotics, in 2002, produced about 11 thousand service robots, 65% of which are intended for hospitals and nursing homes.
Слайд 7Robot-therapy. The American company Paro Robots manufactures robots that look like
baby seals. They look like plush toys, but with built-in sensors that can respond to affection: they know how to wag their tails, blink, respond to their names, to show emotion. These robots are used in rehabilitation therapy, they have a calming effect on patients and evoke positive emotions.
Слайд 8 The Robot Barber. Panasonic has released a robot that looks
like a regular Barber's chair. When a person sits in this chair and puts his head on the sink, the robot starts to wash his head with shampoo, massaging him with its 24 "fingers" and has a special cleaning of the sprinklers. After that it deals with hair conditioner, and dries it with a hairdryer.
Слайд 9The Robot salesman. The owner of a jewelry store in Beijing
ordered a robot that copies the appearance of a famous Chinese actress who plays in the modern series (she was not against the use of her image by doing so). The capabilities of this robot are not very great: he knows how to move his hands, lips and raise an eyebrow. But in spite of this, a new "shop assistant" has become a good attraction for buyers, who often came to look at him. As a result sales of the store grew by about a third.

The robot cleaner. Bobcat company is a manufacturer of agricultural and
construction equipment based in North Dakota, the USA. The popularity of the company was acquired mostly thanks to the first ever mini loader, invented nearly 50 years ago in the USA for mechanization of labor-intensive loading and unloading in farms. It is expected that in the next 10 years in developed countries home robots will become as common as personal computers and cell phones. And it will also be an innovation in the social sphere.
Слайд 11The best innovation of the 21st century is the introduction of
Cell processor. The cell processor is a microprocessor developed by Sony, Toshiba and IBM. The first major commercial application of this processor was in the game console Sony PlayStation. The capabilities of Cell processor include processing and visualization of three-dimensional images at very high speed in real time. Following a very successful application of the Cell processor, which has been a radical change in the field of medicine, is the use of this processor in MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). MRI provides an exceptional opportunity of viewing the human body from the inside. The use of traditional processors of the 20th century took about 5 hours, and sometimes even a whole day to create one image. With the invention of the cell processor this operation can be performed in less than a second. Through the use of Cell processor in medicine, surgeons have the opportunity to follow in real time the movements of the patient's body during surgery.
