Слайд 25Such kind of transport as horse-drawn trolleys appeared in our city
in the 19-th century. The railway was led from Bolshaya Prolomnaya street to the place in Admiralteyskaya Sloboda that later got the name Petrushkin Yard. Here the tired horses were changed and the wagon was turned round. While doing that the wagon was drawn by one horse which was on duty at that moment. The round way was difficult, the wagon was heavy but a horse did its work. The citizens adored such horses, called them Petrushka, came to see their work and fed them.
