Adjective –прилагательное

Прилагательное – это часть речи, которая обозначает признак предмета, и отвечает на вопрос «какой?».

Прилагательные в английском языке не изменяются по родам, числам и падежам.

My hair is long.

My hair is longer.

I’ve got
the longest hair.

I’m fast.

I’m faster.

I’m
the fastest car.

Прилагательные в английском языке имеют 3 степени сравнения:

Сравнительная степень односложных и двух- сложных прилагательных образуется с помощью суффикса –er

Превосходная степень односложных и двух- сложных прилагательных образуется с помощью суффикса –est

cold – colder
long - longer

clean – cleaner
short - shorter

cold – the coldest
long - the longest

clean – the cleanest
short – the shortest

Исключения

good – better – the best

bad – worse – the worst

funny – funnier – the funniest
happy – happier – the happiest
ugly – uglier – the ugliest

nice – nicer – the nicest
brave – braver – the bravest
