This museum was opened in 1969 on place of the burnt village Khatyn. Memorial is situated so, as the village many years ago was situated.

Слайд 3Here is 6-metres high monument in the centre of museum. There
is a boy on man’s hands there. They were Iosif Kaminskiy and his son. Iosif Kaminskiy is the only survived person after the fire. He tried to save his son.
Слайд 4Khatyn was an usual Belorussian village. There were 26 houses in
the village. There are monuments with chimney with bells there now. They strike every 30 minutes.
Слайд 6Behind the houses-monuments is the Cemetery of villages. Here from 186
burnt villages was brought to the ground, and created a symbolic cemetery.

are memorial plates on which were written the names of 66 largest death camps.
