As any other nationality, Kazakh people have their own
customs, traditions and, of course, games. These games come from ancient times representing and showing us the culture of people of Kazakhstan. These games are often competitive giving young man a chance to show their strength, endurance and agility.
Слайд 3Altybakan For installation a swing was used six logs 3-4 meters high,
a wide crossbeam and three lassos. On a swing of "Altybakan" shook on two, most often the young man with the girl. Other attendees sang songs, joked, naughty remarks encouraged young, being on a swing.
Слайд 4Kyz kuu Young boys and girls are participants in the game. The
girlon the horse does her best to gallop from the young man but as soo as the boy tries to overtake her she lashes him whip/ If it is a success he earns a kiss.
Слайд 5Kokpar One of the horse riders with a goat’s carcass in his
hand faced far ahead. Other participants in the game followed him. A winner had to have a quickhorse to catch up with the jigit with the goat’s carcass.

It is a national sport which requirs skills both hand-to-hand fighting
and riding. In fact two men fight while on horse back. Wins the one than brings his adversary down to his horse.
Слайд 7Alaman bayga Alaman of a bayg is a horse competition, jumps on
long and superlong distances. Historical roots of this game are based on need of Kazakhs to prepare horses for long transitions to removement time for new places, and also selection of the most hardy and strong racers for breed improvement.
