century, erected in memory of the liberation of Evpatoria from the enemy army during the Crimean War. Funds for construction were allocated by Muslim, Karaite, Greek, Armenian and Jewish communities. A considerable amount was donated by the Russian Emperor Alexander III. In the Soviet period, the temple was planned to explode, but it managed to survive due to the fact that the order for destruction was never issued.

A memorial complex dedicated to soldiers and
civilians who died during the Great Patriotic War. During the German occupation of Crimea in Yevpatoria, as a result of mass executions, more than 12 thousand people were killed. The memorial was built in 1954 on the site of the mass grave. In 2008, it underwent capital reconstruction, which resulted in the entrance arch, commemorative plate and square.
