we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This event is significant for all people. Victory Day is a celebration of our loved ones, fathers and grandfathers.

and women and even children. Everyone deserves our memory. There are a lot of heroic women of the Great Patriotic War but I would like to tell you about a famous woman sniper, Lyudmila Pavlichenko.

With immense pride I`d like to tell you Lieutenant Pavlichenko killed 257 German soldiers. Her total number of confirmed kills during World War II was 309 German soldiers, including 36 enemy snipers.

at one of the conferences:

“Gentlemen, I am 25 years old and I have killed 309 fascist occupants by now. Don’t you think, gentlemen, that you have been hiding behind my back for too long?”

Such deep sense can`t leave anyone indifferent.

Victory Day

7 million servicemen were killed    - 4.4 million soldiers were captured and missed - total losses, including civilians, 27 million people

But we shall live and always remember it. Nothing will be forgotten because from generation to generation will always honour the memory of those who defended our Motherland.
