Слайд 3Thanksgiving day is a legal holiday in the United States. It
comes in the fourth Thursday in November. This day when families get together.
Слайд 4In 1620, the Mayflower, a boat with 102 men, women and
children on board, sailed across the Atlantic ocean to settle in the New World.
Слайд 5The following spring the Indians of Massachusetts tribe taught the Pilgrims
how to grow corn, a new food for the colonists. They showed them other crops to grow and how to hunt and fish.
Слайд 6In the autumn of 1621, rich crops of corm, barley, beans
and pumpkins were harvested. The colonists had much to be thankful for, so a feast was planned.
