Слайд 2Many castles across the British Isles and indeed the world have
their own stories of ghosts floating along the corridors and battlements as if still carrying on the business of their own time.
Castles were places of high importance to all that lived in the locality of the great walls. They were a place of refuge in times of crisis. Settlements grew around the walls as the locals traded goods. Justice was often severely conducted behind the closed doors, deep within the cold and dark dungeons.
With the residual energy of conflict, pain, torture and treason lingering on within the fabric of these stone built structures there is little wonder that present day witnesses report the continual presence of those who once lived and died there.
