The Marianna Trench

the Earth’s surface. Many different plants and creatures live in them. The deepest part of the sea is the Marianna Trench in the Pacific Ocean. It is 11 km deep. There are many coral reefs in the tropical seas.

Young rays look very much like young sharks. Most rays live at the bottom of the sea. Only a few species live in the open sea or in freshwater. No ray is dangerous to men.

It has two eyes and four pairs of arms. It has no skeleton. Octopuses live in different regions of the ocean, including  coral reefs and ocean bottom. They have numerous strategies for defending themselves against predators, including the expulsion of ink and the use of camouflage.
