for its beauty, culture and rich history. Ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ Russia, a new state-of-the-art stadium is being built. This seven-storey building will be equipped with state-of-the-art luxuries such as a retractable roof and a sliding pitch, ensuring a top-class experience in 2018.  

between Poland and Lithuania. The city is on the mouth of the Pregolya River. Kaliningrad Stadium will be a completely unique venue and is currently under construction on the previously uninhabited Oktyabrsky Island, which is undergoing exciting new development for 2018.

Moscow is host to two of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ stadiums.  Luzhniki Stadium is Moscow's leading sports stadium, with a rich history of hosting historic sporting moments. Luzhniki will host the coveted Final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™.  Spartak Stadium, with its familiar chainmail design representing the logo of the resident team, is one of Russia's best loved stadia.. Spartak will host a number of the Moscow-based group matches.

Moscow

at the meeting of two rivers, the Oka and the Volga. It is located 400km east of Moscow.  Nizhny Novgorod Stadium is set to be a masterpiece echoing the natural influences of the region, in particular water and wind, which gives the design it's light and expansive feel. The stadium is being built in a picturesque part of the city, with excellent views of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

and well-populated city. It is situated at the meeting place of the Volga and Kazanka rivers.  The Kazan Arena was built by the same architects as Wembley Stadium and Emirates Stadium in London, and has been designed to blend seamlessly with the unique surrounding landscape.

Catherine, wife of Tsar Peter the Great. The city nestles on the border between Europe and Asia.  Ekaterinburg Arena is a famous and historical site, home to FC Ural - one of the country's oldest football clubs. The stadium will retain its historical facade and architectural elements, but a roof and temporary stands will be installed for the 2018 festivities.

of Russia. The city is located at the meeting point of the Insar and Saranka rivers.  The Mordovia Arena is an explosion of colour and energy, and is inspired by the local arts and crafts in the Mordovian region. The stadium will be located alongside the picturesque Insar river.

for it's long Western embankment alongside the Volga River. The city is the sixth largest in Russia.  Samara Arena takes its architectural inspiration from space and the night sky, with the stadium shape resembling a glass dome which will be lit at night to enhance the exquisite detail in its design.

of Russia's great Volga River, which gives the town its name.  Volgograd Arena's design embodies the city's history, with the lattice-like exterior of the stadium designed to echo a Victory Day fireworks display. The stadium will be built on the site of the Central stadium, close to the Mamayev Kurgan war memorial.

the Don River. This area has held great commercial and cultural importance since ancient times. This is no surprise, as the Don River is a major connection between Russia and the North.  Rostov Arena is defined by its uniquely shaped roof and stands. The development is part of Rostov-on-Don’s vibrant new city centre.

the Caucus Mountains, and is a favourite holiday getaway for Russians.  Fisht Stadium draws inspiration from the astonishing scenery surrounding Sochi - the arena silhouette is designed to look like a snow-capped mountain peak.
