(The name of the city comes from the name of the Moscow River on which the city itself)
During the reign of Ivan 3, Moscow became the capital of the then Russia. Much later, during the reign of Peter the Great, the capital of Russia is changed to Petersburg. Some time later, in 1918, the Soviet government changes the capital of Russia on Moscow.
Moscow retains great significance in the historical chronicles.

The population is 9 million people. Moscow combines multiple nationalities.
