Great Patriotic War. He was a Staff Sergeant. He commanded a platoon of 3 tanks T 34-76, a light tank БT-7 and antitank self-propelled guns СУ-76И. He received the medal «For Services to the Fatherland». After the war, he returned home alive, where he lived for the rest of his life. He died in 1988 at the age of 70. All his life after the war, he told how he was pulled from a burning tank by his comrades.
