very clean River. The Fish is very beautiful. It has got green eyes and a long tail. When it’s sunny it sparkles with all colours of the rainbow.
The Gold Fish has got many friends: frogs, worms, snakes and other fish. All day long they swim and play together and are very happy. And in the evening the frogs sing their funny crocking songs and the snakes hiss in the grass.
But one day people build a plant near the River. This plant begins to pour dirty water into the River. The water becomes polluted and the Gold Fish and her friends can’t live in it.
So they have an idea. The Gold Fish says: “Let’s all go away. When people see that there are no fish in the river any longer, they can close their plant. Then we can come back.”
Three weeks pass. People come to the River to fish, but they catch nothing. In the evening they can’t hear frogs, the ground at the bank of the River becomes hard, as there are no worms who dig the ground… and there are no beautiful flowers on the bank of the river.
One day people see that there are no fish, frogs and worms. When they understand that these animals can live only in clean water they close the plant and the frogs fish and worms come back to live in the River.
