In 1763 the Saint was transferred to Voronezh
Department.
In 1769, the Saint was transferred to the monastery of Theotokos in the city of Zadonsk.
St. Tikhon died in August, 13, 1783, at the age of 59.
He was the founder of school education in Yelets; in 1735 he opened the Latin School for priests’ children; in 1996 the first Orthodox School named after St. Tikhon of Zadonsk was opened in Yelets/ It was the first one in Lipetsk region.

Sobriety” was registered in the middle of 2012. It allowed participating in different competitions. The project held 102 meetings, promoting a sober lifestyle, with the students of educational institutions of Lipetsk region with a total number of more than 6,000 students.
