Неправильные глаголы:
the verb + ed V 2
work + ed = worked go -went
stop + ed = stopped write - wrote
like + ed = liked read –read

to the cinema last night.

Отрицания:

She didn’t play the piano yesterday.
They didn’t go to the cinema last night.
Вопросы:
Did she play the piano yesterday?
What did he read last month?

Формы: I/he/she/it was !!Spoiler alert!!:
You/they/we were Глагол to be настолько сильный, что ему не нужен did для 1) I was at home. вопросов и отрицаний.
2) She was at the baker’s. 1) I wasn’t at home.
3) They were so happy. 2) She wasn’t at the baker’s. 3) Were they happy? 4) Where was my brother yesterday?

– используется для описания привычек и регулярный действий в прошлом. Подчеркивает, что в настоящем действие уже не совершается.

He used to live in Moscow. Now he lives in Spain.
I used to wear pink dresses when I was 10. Now I hate this colour.
He didn’t use to eat fish when he was a child.
Did you use to do your homework at school?

Past Simple Past Perfect Continuous

I watched TV yesterday.
I didn’t watch TV yesterday.
Did he watch TV yesterday?






She had cooked dinner before she went to bed yesterday.
He was upset because he had failed the test.


I had been waiting for the bus for an hour before it arrived.
They hadn’t been sleeping all night before the day when they had exam.

Past Perfect Continuous

Had + глагол в 3й форме(V3)
I had done my homework before my friend called me.
She was upset because she hadn’t met her boyfriend.
What had he cooked for dinner when mother asked him to do it?
Речь идет о действии, которое произошло перед другим действием в прошлом и/или оставило результат.
Слова-указатели:
Before – до after – после
when –когда
Since –с тех пор как
Already- уже
Just – только что
Never – никогда
By the time/by – к тому моменту
Till/until – до того, как

Had been + V-ing
He had been living in the city for ten years before he moved to the countryside.
I hadn’t been doing this work before my boss called me.
How long had you been studying French by the time you moved to France?
1) Речь идет о действии, которое длилось в прошлом до определенного момента.

For – в течении
since – с тех пор
How long – как долго
Till/until – до тех пор как

week – на прошлой неделе
Last month/year/Sunday, etc – в прошлом месяце /году/в прошлое воскресенье А еще:
A day/week/month/year ago – день/ as soon as – как только неделю/месяц/год назад. When - когда
The other day – на днях until – до тех пор, пока, пока не;
In 2012 –в … году after - после
