Interview with
an Olympic champion
Evan Lysacek
«Hard work and success are directly correlated; when I was young, I figured that out. If you have a goal, the only way to get there is through discipline, hard work, and sacrifice. If you are not interested in working hard at your skating, you should find something else to do.
Also, I was not interested in being a celebrity. If you are attempting to achieve something like winning the Olympics, it is important to differentiate between stardom and real achievement.
Those who succeed in life, in skating or other things, are focused and disciplined. That is the reason I admire athletes and business people. Both types of people work very hard.»
