Футбол – это искусство, пожалуй, ни один вид спорта не может с ним сравниться по популярности.

Football is an art, perhaps no one kind of sport can compare witt it in popularity.

Football is a team sport. Its goal is to get the ball into the opponent's legs or the other part of the body (except hands) more times. Nowadays its the most popular and mass kind of sport.

The history of football has its roots in the depth of the centuries. More than two thousand years ago games with round objects were quite popular in China, Japan, among the Indians of South America, in ancient Greece, Egypt, among the Celtic tribes, Eskimos, and also among the Slavic peoples. Games similar to modern football, existed long enough in different Nations, however, the first recorded rules went back to 1848.

The birth date of football is considered to be 1863, when the first Football Association was organised and the rules similar to modern were written. When the British invented football, they immediately began to distribute it in all countries, including Russia

команды: в каждой от 7 до 11 человек. Один человек в команде (вратарь), его основной задачей является защита ворот. Остальные игроки также имеют свои задачи на поле. Защитники их задача— противодействовать нападающим игрокам противоположной команды. Полузащитники их роль— помогать защитникам или нападающим в зависимости от игровой ситуации. Нападающие, основная задача-забивать голы.

Two teams take part in the game: each team consists from 7 to 11 people. One person in the team is a goalkeeper, his main task is to protect the gate. The other players also have their tasks on the field. The task of defenders is to resist attacking players ( forwards) of the opposite team. The task of midfielders is to help defenders or forwards depending on the game situation. The mail goal of attackers is to score goals.

the UN(the United Nations) made up a decision to celebrate the holiday football day on the tenth of December. The international organization has taken into i account the love for this game all over the world, believing that it was able to reflect and integrate national characters of different peoples possessing their own style and particular qualities of the game. On this day, all the athletes, fans unite in honor of the holiday, expressing their love for the great game.
