Etymology: 'Junk' refers to old, broken things, or worthless objects. So 'junk food' is food that has no value for your body.
People simply cannot imagine their life without hamburgers, French fries, pizza, hot dogs, cheesburgers and e.t.c. Also The USA is regarded as a motherland of fast food. Fast food appeared in USA 1950-s and more recently throught the world. More than 1 million people visit fast food restaurants every year.
Mc. Donalds arrived in Russia in 1990. The first restaurant was opened in Moscow. But inspite of growing number of junk food fans our generation should remember that junk food brings harm for our health rather than saves money and time.
