American writer and humorist. He was better known by his pen friend Mark Twain. He was born in Florida, Missouri on November 30th, 1835

Missouri John met Jane and some years later they married. There were seven children in their family but only four survived: Samuel, Henry, Orion and Pamela. Samuel was the sixth child.
