A lot of schools in my hometown are involved in collecting money for charity. In our school there is a charity box. If you want to donate some money on charity, you put the money into the box. Our parents also make donations.

The surveys show that a lot of Russians are involved in volunteer work. A lot of them contribute money on charity needs. Russian schoolchildren raise money, clean parks or volunteer in nursing homes. Many companies give their workers free time to support volunteer work.

She helped by supporting poor people in different countries. She volunteered by providing those in need with food and medical care. She was also famous for setting up Missionary of Charity help by volunteering in different countries. The volunteers go to poor countries to teach people the first aid and looking after the sick and the elderly people. In 1978, the Nobel Peace Prize Committee decided award Mother Theresa for caring about the needy people.

the Elderly. It started in 1990s, when the United Nations decided that older people needed a holiday. Now millions of people all over the world are involved in the celebrations every year. People celebrate the day by organizing parties and picnics for their grandparents or elderly relatives. It is a terrific holiday to show ho much we care about them. It is also nice to provide them with our support and love.
