If you want to spend an enjoyable evening you'll find opera,ballet,comedy,drama,review,musical comedy and variety. As a rule, the plays are magnificently staged, the costumes, dresses, scenery are wonderful. Most theatres have good orchestras with conductors.
The performances start at half past seven or eight o'clock and finish about eleven or half past ten. If you want to go to any theatres get your tickets beforehand.

Its two main parts are the stage and the hall. The hall is separated from the stage by the orchestra pit. At the sides of the stage there are the wings. A curtain covers the stage. When the performance starts, the curtain rises. At the end of the performance it goes down.
The seats on the ground floor are known as “ stalls”, those nearer the stage are “ orchestra stalls”. The passages between the rows of stalls are the aisles.
The raised part of the ground floor is the “orchestra”, while the small compartments nearer the stage are the “boxes”. Then follow the dress circle, the balcony, and, finally, the gallery.

The cinema combines such arts as painting, literature, theatre, architecture, music.
