On Halloween children like to dress costumes and go from house to house and say “trick or treat”(угощайте или будем подшучивать). People give them fruit, sweets and money. People in many countries celebrate St. Valentine`s day. They send(посылают) cards(открытки) to people they love. They usually do not sign(подписывать) these cards. On Christmas children decorate(украшать) Christmas trees and leave (оставлять)long socks or stockings(чулки). They hope(надеяться) that Santa Clause bring (приносить)them presents(подарки). There is a Thanksgiving day in America. Families gather (собираться)together for a traditional dinner(обед). They have a roast turkey(индейка), sweet (сладкий)potatoes and a pumpkin pie(тыквенный пирог). In April or May American people like to celebrate(праздновать) Easter(пасха). They usually paint eggs.
